| Research
is a priority activity and one of the fundamental aims of
the Ramon Llull University, as it nurtures the ability to
expand both knowledge and the teaching capacity of universities.
At the same time, the URL also fosters activities of technology
transfer, since it is committed to the R&D+I needs of
companies and of society in general.
As a Federation of teaching and research institutions, the
Ramon Llull University is drawing up an overarching strategy
through the Vicerectorate of Research and Technology which
is applied by each Institution through its General or Strategic
Research Plans.
The will to strengthen research activity has led the URL to
move forward in a two-pronged approach:
1. Increasing own resources dedicated to R&D over the
last few years.
2. Giving priority to efforts to obtain public and private
funding to finance this activity.
For further information, see the General
research data at the Ramon Llull University from 2007-08 course
(in spanish). You can also consult the GREC
Research Management application.
The overall strategy mentioned is applied locally according
to the Institution, Centre, Faculty, School, etc., and also
to the field of knowledge with which it deals. Thus, at the
URL we can find different applications of this strategy, in
the form of promotion of different lines of research which
apply locally, along with a brief summary of the main groups,
projects, results...
